Housework: It’s the new hot

August 31st, 2010

I was on the CBS Early Show this morning for an episode that I think is both entertaining and helpful: using housework as foreplay. Click on the link to watch.

Housework As Foreplay.

Choreplay maybe for some … if acts of kindness is your love language.

Each couple needs to be sure to find out what is their spouse’s love language.

Doing chores maybe .. or it maybe just telling your spouse how great they are

    Or buying a small gift.

    Everyone is different

Great job, very fun. Too bad they didn’t plug your site.
Glad it went well and that you looked good. With taped segments you are at their mercy.

I loved it! Did you read the comments on CBS’s website? I agree they did leave out the stay at home mom who also is overwhelmed with all the chores and kids. Nobody really values stay at home moms. Anyway, I loved it when your husband said he did 70% of the chores and you laughed. It’s hysterical to me because my husband thinks if he vacuumed once a year he helps with the chores. LOL

I forgot to check the box. I was laughing!!

Great interview, Alisa. I have a feeling you emptied off your dresser for the cameras. Or you’re very smart and have not knick-knacks to have to dust.

I see how when both partners work outside the home (even if they work from home) that having help with the housework would surely make a difference in the woman being able to relax at the end of the day. I know when I worked, the last thing I wanted to do was come home make dinner, do the dishes, do a load of laundry, sort the mail, etc., before I could relax.

My daughter helped me. Because when I was married the 2nd time and worked 40+ hours outside the home, the husband wasn’t chipping in with the housework. And we weren’t having sex. But that was for other reasons as well.

I tried to get it to load on two different computers. It plays the commercial beforehand, but the video never starts. Oh well! I guess i’ll try again tomorrow.

That was a cute clip, and I think that what the woman from Cosmo said is accurate: (paraphrasing) if women work all day, juggling kids, home and outside responsibilities, they don’t instantly turn into “sex goddesses” – they still need time to relax and “remember that they are sexual, sensual beings.” That sounds like our house!
