These days, you can never be too careful. I never advertise my absense of home either, it's just not safe or smart. You said you were going on vacation, and you did. You said you were going to read, and you did! So, see, it wasn't an outright lie, it just wasn't the detailed truth. I'm glad you had a good time (despite the plane rides, blood in the pee, daughter's fish dying, etc.--I'm reading your posts from top to bottom, newest first, this one last) and most of all, I'm just glad you're back!
